1st time surfing during this trip and Marcos and the other instructors were so encouraging! Had the best time and was actually able to catch a few waves on my own!!!🌊

Best place to learn surfing! The instructors are all really experienced and kind and supportive, even if you still act like a sloth on a surfboard after a full week of classes like me. I had lots of fun and you can just tell that everybody there does what they do from their full heart. The Hostel is also a really great place to stay and if you want you will meet loads of cool new people! The dorm is really good in my opinion, dark and cool enough to take naps during the day, there are curtains on the beds and lockers for your stuff. The common areas are also really nice to hang out at, especially the pool. But the best for sure are the people, from the owner to the instructors to the volunteers and the cleaning ladies everyone is just so accommodating and makes you feel at home with them ♡ big recommendation!

I had a wonderful experience with Surf Spirit. Marcos (owner) was very accommodating and made sure to book our class at the perfect tide time for beginners. I was feeling nervous and my instructor, Geronimo was really encouraging and supportive - I stood up on my first wave within minutes! Even though it was a group class, I had 1:1 support throughout. Most of all, they made it super fun. I can't wait to do it again.
